Hours are Monday – Thursday plus some weekends (1 or 2 hour sessions depending on assignments). Times are flexible, but always after school. Pay is $20 per hour.

The Judge Rotenberg Educational Center (JRC) is a fast-growing, highly structured residential special needs program located in Canton, within commuting distance of Boston and Providence that serves children, adolescents and adults presenting a wide array of challenging behaviors, including autism and/or conduct/psychiatric disorders. JRC’s program involves the consistent application of a wide range of effective behavioral principles to education and treatment. Each JRC clinician oversees the behavioral treatment of a caseload of students. We are looking for full-time clinicians who are committed to using or learning the behavioral model. Interest or experience in drug abuse treatment desirable but not required. Salaries are dependant on experience and educational level: PH.D $90,000/yr, BCBA $95,000/yr or Licensed Psychologist $100,000/yr. Boston Crew Leaders (Boston)

Conservation Begins Here.

SCA, America’s #1 conservation service organization seeks qualified individuals to lead our 2010 Conservation Crew Program in Boston City Parks and with the NPS outside Boston.

Primary Responsibilities:

Co-lead, mentor and supervise crews of eight to ten students, ages 15-18 to complete a variety of hands-on conservation projects for six weeks, (Mon-Fri 8hrs/day) during the summer 2010. In addition to completing much needed conservation work in local municipal parks and green spaces, Leaders also facilitate outdoor environmental education activities. Leaders will also complete pre and post program planning which includes crew training, education and reporting. Outdoor enthusiasts and experience working with youth are strongly preferred. 2010 Program Dates : July 6th – August 13th

Qualifications:

Minimum 21 years of age

Possess a valid driver’s license 3+ yrs. and an MVR that meets SCA standards

Current CPR and First Aid certifications or ability to obtain

Pass a criminal background check that meets SCA Standards

Attend a Crew Leader Orientation and Trail Skills Training in May or June (dates tbd)

Physical Demands and Work Environment: Applicant must be able to:

Carry heavy loads up to 40 lbs

Use a variety of hand tools

Hike and work in a variety of weather conditions

Drive a passenger mini-van and/or SUV in a variety of weather conditions

Salary: $525/wk DOE, training provided by SCA
