Packaging Designer (North West Miami)

We are in need of a Packaging Designer for our SE Florida studios. The scope of the position would be to design, develop and test packaging for consumer products. You would work with members of the Package Engineering department to develop new package designs, reduce costs through redesign of current product packaging and help to resolve packaging production and shipping issues with intelligent package designs.

The projects that will result in packages may be associated with new product introduction or changes required for cost saving and/or improved performance of existing products.
<br>
<br>
Activities include packaging material recommendations, documentation creation/management, package design to meet quality and standards and working closely with the Package Engineering staff, Procurement, and Logistics in determining package material and shipping costs.
<br>
<br>
Qualified candidate will have a minimum of three years experience in package design and development. Knowledge and experience with package specification systems and experience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop are required.

Retail experience would also help, one position would be on the sales floor and the other primarily to be the Artist but would also demand to be crossed trained to be on the sales floor.
